Economic Recovery

Mr. Norm Lamarche, Senior Portfolio Manager of Front Street Capital, a Toronto investment company. Norm has earned a reputation as the “best mutual fund manager you’ve never heard of” (the Globe and Mail, December 30, 2006), managing the #1 and #3 funds in Canada over the last 15 years based on the 15-year average compound return of the funds (source: GlobeFund.com as at June 30, 2009).
Norm gave us an overview of the world economy as he predicted it would develop; slow improvement in the "older" economies with greater growth in the BRIC countries. He feels that Canada is well placed in the world with a solid banking system and rich in resources for which the demand will grow considerably as the economic recovery takes hold.
