Africa Committee Report IV
Posted on Sunday, March 21st 2010    Noma Vales, the Chair of the Africa Committee, reported on the success of a project in Lesotho where small chicken farmers are supported through a revolving loan fund. In fact, the small farmers are so successful that the demand for product is outstripping supply.
This support of individual farmers proves to be more successful than an earlier project of community market gardens. Some changes have been made to this ongoing project to make it less labour intensive.
