Environmental Committee Reports
Posted on Sunday, April 25th 2010    Mr. Dan Schneider of the Grand River Conservation Authority is a field officer at the Nature Centre at Guelph Lake and is involved daily in the teaching of school children about nature, the environment and all living things around us. He pointed out that young as it is, the Rotary Forest project is already making an impact on wildlife around Guelph Lake and is already a tremendous asset in the teaching program of GRCA. Some 20,000 school children come to the site each year. High school kids learn how to plant a tree in season and they in turn teach grade 3 kids how to plant.
Dan is tremendously enthusiastic about the development of the Rotary Forest and points out that we are working on something that future generation will be able to enjoy
