Committees in our club

Club - Membership :
-Develop and maintain a current Membership Recruitment and Retention Strategy and actively seeking to meet growth targets
-Organize and deliver new member orientation sessions.
-Provide new members with packages of Rotary information at time of introduction and monitor their integration into the Club
-Recognize long service members and present years of service pins as required.
-Keep a record of attendance and deliver to the recording secretary.
-Develop a roster of greeters for weekly meetings.

Tree Planting With The City Yesterday

Some 20 club members turned out yesterday morning to plant trees in Mitchell Woods, corner of Elmira Road and Tovell Drive. The group planted some 500 trees, some small, some fairly large, among the existing trees of Mitchell Woods which need to be replaced.
The planters in the photo are those who stayed till the bitter end despite the rain and the howling wind. Jim Wadleigh was the photographer.
But despite the less than favourable weather we did Larry "Red Maple" Kelly proud and got all the trees that the City people brought out into the ground.
The second planting with the City will probably towards the end of October at a location to be announced.
